3G+, WiMax, and LTE mobile broadband technologies are set to have an impact on every aspect of mobile network design and drive a deep transition towards flat, all-IP system architectures. This session charts that transition by investigating the impact of multi-megabit-per-second end user data rates across the network, covering issues such as new cell site topologies, IP backhaul, evolved packet core, and advanced services-layer infrastructure.

The aim is to address the critical question of how operators can implement and deploy intelligent network infrastructure, with end-to-end QoS capability, to support a robust mix of services from high-value, real-time, rich-media communications, through to best-effort data, on a converged network.
