Al Otto is the founder and CEO of OneFiduciary Group LLC.

A frequent speaker and lecturer on retirement plan issues, Otto has more than 25 years of experience in the retirement industry. Recognized in 2008-2009 as one of 401kWire's "100 Most Influential People in Defined Contribution," Otto has championed full disclosure for retirement plan advisors since working with his first 401(k) client in 1984.

Otto is a contributing writer and member of the editorial advisory board for Benefits & Compensation Solutions. He has written numerous articles about excessive fees since 2001. In 2007, he wrote "Fee Disclosure Forensics" for the Journal of Pension Benefits and also recently wrote "Will Default Turn into Your Fault" as well as "The Pros and Cons of Target-Date Funds for Defined Contribution Insights."

Otto has been quoted in or has contributed to the Profit Sharing Council of America's Defined Contribution Insights Magazine, Investment News, Plan Sponsor Magazine, CFO Magazine, Employee Benefit News, Employee Benefit Plan Review and McHenry Insight.

Otto earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and was a President's Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary AnalystTM (AIFA). Otto is also an Associate Professional Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).
