Advertising Widget of a Web Event - Enlarge

Web publishers, bloggers, and social networking profilers can cut-and-paste the embeddable code of an event listing and publish an advertising widget on their respective web pages to promote an online event. There are four IAB-standard ad widgets. Automated feeds based on keywords can also be delivered on third-party sites. The advertising widget, promoting a web-based event, also displays in real-time the countdown until the start of the event.

The dashboard on EventSpan allows active event marketers and producers to view the activity of their submitted web events. An account holder can view current event listings, watchlist activity of events and people, recommendations, and account information.

The connected databases within EventSpan allow frequent event producers to input past speakers and sponsors or partners to the event listing. Event listers can also find and input speakers from the Speaker's Bureau. These people and company names can be dragged and dropped to reflect the prioritized order an event producer wished to display these entities.

A producer of frequent online events can easily manage speaker, host or sponsor, and media contacts for a given event in the event manager mode. Through Ajax technology, an event producer can view, edit, and add or remove speakers/sponsors/contacts to an online event with speed and ease, and do it on the fly without reloading new web pages. Morevover, the order of the speakers and where they appear in the online event listing is a simple drag-and-drop function.

Online event producers can view all of their events, speakers, hosts or sponsors, and event contacts is the repectively tabbed section of the site. When producer views all of his or her events, he or she can see whether it's in the "published" or "unpublished" state and can modify this state anytime. Also, this view also shows event activity on the site for published events, such as the number of recommendations, watchlists, and click-throughs a given online event listing has received.

As you add to online events to the EventSpan publishing database, the presenters you input are maintained in a separate database. As you can see in the picture, the same is true for media contacts and host/sponsors companies. A producer can easily insert and re-arrange presenters, etc. into new events without having to re-input all this data for new events.

Expert Speakers

Expert speakers who present frequently in online events can post their speaker profiles and feature their respective events in the Speakers Bureau of Eventspan. An expert speaker's bio, background, awards, and an RSS feed are all content-managed by this person along with the online events he or she chooses to showcase. An expert speaker, optionally, can even publish his or her speaking fees for online events.

Event services companies can even use the EventSpan publishing platform to promote their own web events about their web event technology services. Partners, employees' social networking pages, bloggers and B2B publishers can also syndicate this web event listing via snipping the code for one of the four IAB-standardized banner advertisement to place on their respective sites.

An web event services company (in technology, marketing, PR, or publishing, for instance) can embed and manage their service offering information within the Eventspan site, such as a company description, featured events, featured employees or partners, tags, and white papers. A corporate or product blog can also be pulled into the site via the RSS feed. This area is entirely content-managed and controlled by the company who opens an account on EventSpan.

Who's who? Anyone from tech service provider professionals to webcast production consultants to web B2B publishing editors can join the industry professionals directory in EventSpan and post and manage content in his/her own profile page. Professionals can upload professional background information and a bio, feature and promote their favorite web events, tag their professional expertise, pull in a blog or news feed via RSS, and upload white papers.
