It’s a dreaded disease that could be killing your year-end earnings and profits called Sales Call Reluctance. What’s the cure? The answer is consistent prospecting. Nothing will increase sales success faster. Conversely, nothing will reduce profitability and earnings quicker that a lack of it. The problem is, for the most part, salespeople dread prospecting. Sales Call Reluctance does not have to be terminal. You or your sales team can learn to initiate contact with potential buyers without stress or anxiety and with absolutely no hesitation. Contrary to what you may believe, Sales Call Reluctance is not the fear of rejection or the fear of failure. It is an emotional interference, which renders knowledge, skills, abilities and talents useless. Prospecting should be a fun, enriching and profitable experience. Research shows that in our culture the highest rewards do not go to the hardest working, the most intelligent or those who are prepared. The largest rewards go to the people who are most willing to self-promote, yet self-promotion rarely comes naturally.
