Dharshan has been an information security trainer for over a decade. He is the first SEI authorized OCTAVE advisor/trainer in Asia Pacific and the first PCI QSA in India.  He has spoken in 33 prestigious security events (including ISACA Global Information Security Summit at Las Vegas in 2009) and conducted over 122 workshops in over 19 countries. He is credited of having trained more than 2,000 information security professionals on various subjects such as OCTAVE, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS.

Professional Background:

Risk Assessment veteran with deep skills in scoping, designing and implementing security at the enterprise level security. Trained at the CERT®, USA (located at Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University) on OCTAVE Risk Assessment Methodology in 2003 as an Authorized Trainer and Advisor. Experienced in large-scale security risk assessments at the enterprise level for Fortune 500 companies.

Representative client projects span several industries, including IT, BPO, manufacturing (OEMs), banking, insurance, and telecommunications. Published works include several trade publication articles and white papers on the security risk assessments. Served in ISACA Bangalore Chapter for a period of 5 years in various positions including Vice President of ISACA Bangalore Chapter in the year 2007.
