Responsibilities

Patrick specializes in financial planning for owners of successful closely-held businesses, helping them to achieve their major business and personal financial goals. With his colleagues at White Horse Advisors, LLC, Patrick advises clients in areas such as business exit strategies, estate planning, and tax-efficient compensation strategies.

Patrick has worked extensively with business owners in general construction, subcontracting, manufacturing, and wholesale supplies.

Experience

Patrick first entered the financial services industry in 1991. He has spoken and written extensively about financial planning strategies for business owners. He has also written numerous articles for Construction Accounting and Taxation, including "The 7 1/2 Deadly Sins of Buy-Sell" with Brantley Madebach in the July/August 2005 issue. In January/February 2005 he wrote, "How to Get Construction Company Owners to Actually Do Some Succession Planning," with Steve Kirschner, CPA. In January/February 2006, Patrick and Steve wrote, "The Shared Tax and Equity Partnership (STEP): A New Selling Power Tool."

Education

Patrick graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., magna cum laude, in 1991. He earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College and holds numerous other industry designations and accreditations. Patrick is a Registered Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.
